Local musician Joe Tobin released a song dedicated to CervicalCheck Campaigner Vicky Phelan

Local supporter has released a song dedicated to the memory of CervicalCheck campaigner Vicky Phelan.  Waterford musician Joe Tobin never met Vicky Phelan but he was so touched by her story and campaign that we wrote a song in her memory that will raise funds for the Solas Cancer Support Centre. Joe recently had the opportunity to meet Vicky’s parents who have endorsed this project knowing that cancer support charities like the Solas Cancer Support Centre would have been so close to Vicky’s heart. The Solas Cancer Support Centre provides free professional support services to people impacted by a cancer diagnosis in Waterford, Dungarvan and surrounding areas. This year, Solas has seen a 35% increase in the demand for services and running costs for this record level of support will be close to €1 million euro in 2023. The vast majority of these funds come from individual fundraising, donations and corporate support. Your generosity will help enable Solas to offer free resources to support individuals and families affected by cancer.
