Dance for Life 2018 for the Solas Cancer Support Centre

Following the amazing success of Dance for Life 2017 the Solas Cancer Support Centre is delighted to announce the event will be returning in 2018. Application forms are now available should prospective dancers like to apply.

Tracy McDaid , Manager of the Solas Cancer Support Centre explains more: ‘To kick off 2018 we are looking for participants to undertake a 10 week training programme, staring in early January.  This year , for the first time, we are very excited to invite couples to apply and also welcome individuals who will be partnered with another dancer by our choreographer. The event is open to all ages and fitness levels and a great way to kick start 2018’

This is a very exciting event that will help fund the activities and services that will  be provided by the Solas Cancer Support Centre in 2018. Participants will be asked to fundraise and sell tickets for the show. We will offer as much support as possible to the dancers in their fundraising endeavors.

Local Choreographer Michelle Condon explains that every dancer will learn one dance as part of a couple and also a group dance. Michelle looks forward to the event being great fun to take part in and guarantees that the show will “take the roof off The Theatre Royal on Friday 9th March 2018.”

Participants are asked to do their best to raise €500 in sponsorship and assist in selling event tickets.  To register your interest in taking part please email events@solascentre.ie or call 051 304604. The closing date for applications is 3rd December 2017.
