The Solas Cancer Support Centre is thrilled to announce that the hugely successful Film for Life will be returning in June 2020.
Tracy McDaid, Manager of the Solas Cancer Support Centre explains more; ‘We are seeking participants to undertake a 6-week training programme where they will be tutored by a professional actor and then have the unique opportunity to star in their very own film.
In March participants will learn what films they will take part in and then training commences for the cast of each film. The film premieres will take place at a glitzy red-carpet themed event in the Tower Hotel on Saturday 13th June where our actors will be the stars of the night! No experience is required, and participants can apply as a group or individually. The event is open to ages 16 years and over.
Training will take place on a Monday night in the Solas Cancer Support Centre and each film will require one day filming on a designated weekend during April or May,
This exciting event will help fund the activities and services that will be provided by the Solas Cancer Support Centre in 2020. Participants are asked to fundraise €400 in sponsorship and the Solas Cancer Support Centre will offer support and advice to each participant in their fundraising endeavours. There is no obligation to sell tickets.
