Solas Cancer Support Centre announces new Chair Dee Jacques
The Board of the Solas Cancer Support Centre is pleased to announce Dee Jacques as incoming chair.
Outgoing Chair Dr Brian Creedon confirmed this appointment saying ‘The Board is delighted to have someone of Dee’s experience, knowledge and energy as Chair going forward. Dee has been involved in the charity since 2002 and in more recent years has served as both Board Member and Deputy Chair. Dee has a huge commitment to her local community and this civic spirit is integral to the Solas Cancer Support Centre and the services that are provided in the Centre in Waterford and more recently in Dungarvan.’
In accepting this role Dee is both honoured and proud to serve as Chair- ‘It is a huge privilege to take over this role from Brian, who has given immense time and commitment for the last number of years. I look forward to working closely with the talented voluntary Board to ensure that the charity continues to serve the community and deliver much needed support’.
