Your support is the most valuable gift you can give.  Your support will help us to provide the best possible care to people of the south east who are affected by cancer.  The Solas Cancer Support Centre is a charity 100% reliant on income raised through fundraising to support our services.  You can help in whatever way suits you best:  through a cash donation, making a commitment to a monthly direct debit, taking part in a Solas Cancer Support Centre event or even organising your own event.

Every year incredible supporters across the south east get creative and come up with new, fun and interesting ways to raise valuable funds for the Solas Cancer Support Centre. From table quiz nights to sky dives, marathons to school pink theme days, beard shaving and waxing to coffee mornings, each year many of these events are organised throughout the south east raising significant funds to support our work.

Design you own event

Why not organise your own fantastic fundraising event in aid of the Solas Cancer Support Centre?

Whatever the event or ideas you may have we would love to hear from you and work with you.  Events are more fun if you get together with a group of family or friends at work, school, sports club or community organisation for some FUNdraising!

Fundraise online

Want to fundraise for the Solas Cancer Support Centre.  Set up an online fundraising page on my charity home page www.mycharity.ie and let the internet do the hard work!

You will then be brought through a short sequence of pages where you:

• Choose your event date and name.
• Choose Solas Cancer Support Centre as your charity.
• Fill in some details on your Fundraising Page including your target for how much money you hope to raise.

That’s it!  All you need to do now is just e-mail the link for your page to everyone that you think might like to sponsor you.  They can sponsor you in the space of a few minutes and the money comes to us directly, without you having to collect or chase it.

Leaving a gift in your will, no matter how small, can make a real and lasting difference.

The idea of making a Will is something which may make us feel uncomfortable. Realistically however, it is something that all of us should do at an early age to ease the burden of loved ones we leave behind.

A gift left in a Will is simply a means of giving something back. It provides you with the opportunity to ensure that your possessions and finances are divided up according to your wishes. It is about remembering the people and the causes you care about.

Of course your loved ones come first, but just a small gift in your Will could help the Solas Cancer Support Centre provide much needed support services to people affected by cancer including their family members and carers throughout Waterford and the South East.

Leaving a gift in your Will is straight forward and is something that everyone can do.  We understand that leaving a gift in your will is a very personal decision. Some people choose to let us know that the Solas Cancer Support Centre has been remembered in their will. Others prefer to keep their wishes private, leaving it to their executor or solicitor to inform us when the time comes.
