Fundraising Events
We are raising €1.5m to construct and fit out a purpose built cancer support centre in Waterford to service the South East region. Over €1.2 m has been raised to date. | 12-12-2009 | REXAM CHALLANGE : "Is a 90k cycle and a half marathon enough of a challange for ya!!!" Join Richie and the gang in Rexam are taking on the challange in aid of the Solas Cancer SupportCentre. |
| 18-10-2009 | WLRfm/Solas RUN FOR LIFE : Annual RUN FOR LIFE organised by WLRfm - the biggest charity event in the South east! A ten mile road race through the streets of Waterford in aid of the SECF SOLAS CENTRE which last year raised €244,000. This year we are seeking 1000 runners to raise €250+ each sponsorship for the Solas Centre. Run, Walk or jog. Sponsorship cards are available at WLRfm and AIB Banks in the South East. | 19-10-2008 | Run For Life : Run For Life is a 10 mile road race that will take place in Waterford on Sunday 19th October 2008. The Aim of the Race is for 500 people to raise €500 each and as such raise at least quarter of a million Euro in one ten mile stretch.
Participants can Run, Jog, Walk or split the load into 2 x 5 mile relay |

| 21-06-2008 | Three Peaks Challenge : Scaling the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis 1344m), England (Scafell 978m) and Wales (Snowdon (1085m) in a 24 hour period with the additional challenge of travel (over 500 miles) between the three Mountains! |
